Short form podcast, where I share my passion for the cinema. Hoping to spark conversation and possibly broaden the cinematic landscape. Every episode, I will touch upon a topic. Give some movie examples, maybe a small list and then give a deeper review of one or two movies that fit within the subject. I’ll probably give a general overview of what I’ve been watching and any recommendations that might arise. A little ramble with a little review.

A milestone episode. #10 I struggled with trying to figure out a good topic. 10-Top Ten lists, nah... I'll save that for #100 So I settled on a challenge of watching all the horror movies theatrically released since 1990 Now this is an interesting going challenge, but the 30 year challenge is the one I briefly discussed. 976 horror movies from 1990-2019 It was created by my great friend Jody Branham and supported by me. It was a challenge, highs and lows for each of us, but we helped to encourage each other along the way. Definitely a highlight in my cinematic viewing career. I mostly just ramble, however I give a favorite movie of each given year. Some years had multiple favorites, while other years it was an easy pick. Thank you for listening. Enjoy the episode. Growing up in the 1980s, my brother had a small collection of horror movies on VHS. It was like a treasure trove of forbidden fruit. I ramble and reminisce about those golden years of enjoying hidden joy.

In this episode I went with a classic, all-time favorite movie... The Goonies. I realize it's not a movie for everyone, however, it is everything for me. This movie always takes me back to my childhood. So I rambled on about the movie with a slight review, it is 39 years old... sheesh, I feel old now. Thank you for listening. I'm enjoying recording.

I do a brief comparison of these 2 American gems in cinema history. The 2 movies have similar themes and story beats. Clearly one was influenced by the other.

I have a brief discussion about the iconic movie Back to the Future. I give bits of trivia, talk about how I feel it's a movie that came out at the exact right time, with the perfect cast. The entire movie is like capturing lightning in a bottle.

It's all subjective, we all have different life experiences. So many movies can be viewed as awful and yet be entertaining to watch. I give a discussion and a small list of movies that fit in this category. These movies don't appeal to everyone, but those that get it. Love it. I do give a brief review of Rat Man (1988) and a more in depth view of The Boogey Man (1980) Give it a listen and let me know what you think. I mentioned this website in the episode, I plan to visit it and start checking one off at a time. https://www.listchallenges.com/best-so-bad-theyre-good-movies

Episode #3 A look at those movies that harness the setting of winter weather or locations that are known for their snowy landscapes. I touch upon only a small number of those my movies that left the impact upon me. I did miss a few, because as I typed this, I realized I forgot to mention "30 Days of Night" and many others. I did try to avoid those movies that also have Christmas as theme. Alas, I hope you enjoy my brief discussion on this ever so fitting subject of Winter Movies. Enjoy.
